The Basin

You can’t visit Rottnest Island without making a trip to The Basin. This popular swimming hole is a favourite for locals and tourists thanks to the crystal clear water and colourful shallow reefs. Swimmers are urged to be careful as venomous animals such as blue ringed octopus live in tide pools and coral reefs and have been found in the area before.
