Wetside Water Education Park

This Hervey Bay attraction is the perfect way for everyone to cool off from the summer heat. Entry to the park is free for all ages and is a fun, eco-friendly public asset designed to educate users on the importance of water and its sustainable use. Designed to be ‘infotainment’ visitors can play in the park free of charge or purchase a ticket for $6 for the additional activity; the FlipSide BoardRider wave machine.

Since 2009, both locals and tourists have been enjoying the park close to Hervey Bay’s town centre. The entire park is a smoke and alcohol-free zone and doesn’t allow bikes, scooters, skateboards or pets. Even though entry to the park is free, Westside may close due to private functions, extreme weather or if it reaches maximum capacity.
