What you need to know

Location

Lush, serene views and vast plains await you from the moment you lift off from the heli-pad. Kick back and enjoy some of the best sights we have to offer. First, we will fly you past the charming township of Lyndoch before tracking along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley to Historic Seppeltsfield.

Here you will see stunning vineyards contouring the rolling hills, palm tree studded roads and the Seppelt Family mausoleum, which is certainly a sight to behold. From there you will fly over Maggie Beer’s farm before veering along the highway, around the Wolf Blass winery, and then marveling at the view over the large limestone quarry near the town of Angaston. From Angaston the view is an awesome 180-degree view of the Barossa valley and beyond. Descend into the valley towards Tanunda, your pilot will point out some of the historic buildings and settlements like Chateau Tanunda and Bethany.

Beyond Tanunda is Rowland flat – home of the famous Jacobs Creek Winery where you will view some of Australia’s largest wine tanks. From there we take you to the southern end of the Barossa, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (the Barossa Reservoir) before returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley.

What To Bring

The helicopters can get quite hot during the Aussie summer months and cooler during the winter months, so dress comfortably.
If you plan to take photographs we recommend darker colour’s to reduce any window reflections.
Ladies please wear flatter shoes.
Hats, bags or any loose clothing are not allowed to be worn in or around the helicopters as they can fly up into the rotors and damage the aircraft. We will be happy to hold any hats or bags for you until you return from your tour.
We encourage you to bring your phone, camera, or movie camera to help you remember your fabulous time at Barossa Helicopters.

Additional Information

All participants must be over the age of 18 for the tour
Tours require 2 participants to run and can take no more than 3 passengers
All flights have weight restrictions, are subject to weather and aircraft availability
Maximum individual weight is 130kg
All up combined maximum passenger weight is 270kg

Cancellation Policy

Clients that are a “NO SHOW” will forfeit the cost of the entire booking.
Full cost of booking will be charged if cancellation is made inside 24 hours of booked flight time.
No charge outside 48 hours.
Full refund will be made available to customers in the event of a cancellation of the flight by Barossa Helicopters Pty Ltd due to adverse weather or any other unforeseen event.
